PTA stands for Parent Teacher Association, a school-based organization with a mission to make the school a better place for children to learn. Parents of students work together with teachers to volunteer in classes, raise money for school supplies, and generally support the school’s efforts.
The PTA is a great opportunity for you to be involved in your children’s education in their formative years.
If you don’t have the time to attend meeting, you can show your support by being part of a Helpers List that can be called on from time to time.
If you would like to be part of a Helpers List please contact the school office.
- To raise funds to carry out projects not directly funded by Board of Trustees, Ministry of Education or Government
- To keep parents informed of events within the school

The PTA meets twice a term, in the evening, for about one hour (meeting dates are posted on the school newsletter) in the staff room. At our meetings we review past events and plan for upcoming events.
Remember PTA is a lot more than just fundraising. It is a great way to give back to the community and an opportunity to meet other parents and teachers.
