TV3 comes to Marshall Laing

It was the 12th of Febuary, just 10 days after school had started for 2009. It wasn't just an ordinary day for Marshall Laing. TV3's 'Sunrise' was coming to MLPS to film the ML students teachers and other important people doing some skipping!!!

We all had to wear red to promote heart week. The live broadcast was starting at 8 am, but on the TV in the early morning they had people there being interviewed. People such as Jenny Shipley, former Prime Minister! Josh Heslop the Sunrise weatherman interviewed her as well the daughter of a teacher aide at our school.  She was interviewed because when she was at school they had the Jump Rope for Heart being promoted too.

When the camera started rolling it panned across the sea of red children. We were all skipping and smiling and jumping in our red T-Shirts. Josh Heslop was dressed in a big red heart and was presenting the weather while the kids continued skipping around him! Then one lucky child named Sarita DePont got to say how much she liked the jump rope so far! She also got to tell the camera the message that jump rope was giving.

All in all it was a great morning and I'm sure everyone was wide awake after that and everyone hoped they'd go on the T.V.
